Hello everyone and happy Friday! Seoul has been freezing lately, giving me little motivation to do anything at all, let alone leave the house, but I finally was able to get out and find somewhere interesting to share with my followers – O’Shake!
With several locations in Seoul, I went to the one in my favourite neighbourhood – Sangsu/Hapjeong.

This particular O’Shake is a kind of “2 in 1” store, which is something I had never seen before. It shares the same floor space with Ogada, a tea house with many healthy drinks – very different menu from O’Shake as you will soon see…

Popular Youtube personalities ChoNunMigookSaram (저는미국사람) and Korean Englishman (영국남자) had posted about O’Shake on their social media pages, thus sparking my interest. O’Shake is famous for one thing and this one thing was the main reason I decided to go – their Devil’s Shake!
Coming in 5 flavours, the “Devil’s Shake” is a HUGE calorie bomb of flavourful goodness for lovers of all things sweet.
You can tell that the shakes are their most popular main menu item as pictures of them are placed all over the cafe, making it hard to order anything else.
However, if shakes aren’t your thing they do carry various other desserts!
They have an extensive menu of different kinds of drinks and desserts, ranging from more frozen desserts like ice cream to cupcakes and roll cakes…
They are also known for their tiny roll cakes which come with cute animal print patterns on them. Ordering a shake was enough for me so I didn’t get to try them this time 😦

As I mentioned before, the Devil’s Shake comes in 5 kinds – Caramel, Yogurt, Oreo, Peanut Butter, and Nutella. The shakes are quite pricey but they are HUGE. I recommend ordering one to split between two people as that’s what everyone else seemed to be doing!
You place your order at the counter and the staff will call you once it’s ready so you can pick it up and bring it to your table.
It takes around 10 minutes for your order to come out, and you can wait comfortably at one of the few tables available. It’s not the biggest cafe but I found it never filled up completely – probably because eating ice cream in the winter isn’t ideal!
We decided to get a seat by the window, and as you can see they have a terrace with seating outside which would be great in the summer.
…And here it is! Me and my friend decided to go with the peanut butter shake and a salted caramel popcorn ice cream. The staff was kind enough to give us wafer cookies on the house 🙂
We severely underestimated the size of this thing. We knew it was going to be big, but we didn’t know it was going to be THIS big. Definitely glad we only went with one between us and not one each!
The shake was a vanilla milk base with whipped cream and big globs of peanut butter on top. It was decorated with small peanut butter crackers. The salty + sweet combination, one of my favourites when it comes to dessert, really made this great!
The cookies proved to be great spoons for picking up the peanut butter on the edges of the jar, as well as for dipping into the ice cream!
The ice cream was a standard vanilla cream flavour, much like the ones you get at McDonalds. The top was littered with caramel popcorn drizzled in caramel syrup, and on the bottom was a base of chocolate cereal. Compared with the heavy shake, the flavour of this was quite light and airy, making it a good combination to go back and forth to!

While sitting and people watching, it started to snow! It was a pretty sight to see as Seoul hadn’t been getting much snow this year despite the frigid temperatures.
I don’t know how we did it, but we somehow managed to finish the whole thing! I had seem some complaints online that the shake was overpriced because they used chunky ice to keep it cold, which took up most of the space in the jar, thus giving you less shake. However I feel if it had been any bigger we wouldn’t have been able to finish it without getting sick! The peanut butter melted into the vanilla shake at the end, turning it into a creamy peanut butter shake which was soooo good. This thing kept me full for 5+ hours after having it – I didn’t even need lunch!
All in all I enjoyed my visit and recommend it to those with a strong sweet tooth as I find it does get a bit sickening if you eat too much. Not somewhere I’d go often but I can see myself going in the future if I have a huge chocolate craving – I really want to try out the Oreo shake… ( ̄Γ ̄)
Expect something Monkey-related for my next post and hopefully I’ll have some exciting news coming up soon if everything works out! Until next time~ ( ゚▽゚)/
Just looking at it again makes me feel full :)))))

I had something very similar in Malaysia just a few weeks back! But this one looked so much more promising. Defo something I wouldn’t go crazy about coz it does get quite sickening after a few sips.. I’d go for the milkshake alone but not with the excessive sweets layered on top! 😂

I heard it’s originally an Australian brand or something? Interesting that it seems to be the trendy thing now and not just in Korea..def have to split with a friend or it gets to be too much e_e

El año pasado fui a Corea pero me falto tanto por probar.
Ese lugar se ve delicioso, sin lugar a dudas -y si existe aún- iré a probar eso cuando vuelva.
Se ve delicioso y me dejó con un antojo terrible. ♡
